On the other hand, communication objectives refer to the intended goals of an advertisement or any form of promotional activity or program. Communication objectives assist in creating awareness among the audience, instilling knowledge, imparting knowledge, shaping of audience attitudes and stimulating consumer desire to affect sales or promotion being conducted. However, the outcome objective can mark the measurable change in behavior of certain demographic of people. For instance, an outcome objective may be conducted to determine the change in staff health issues. It can also be used to evaluate the attitudes or emotional well being among the target audience regarding health issue such as a vaccination campaign.
Communication objectives are suitably applied in various settings including Leadership affairs were, the strategy is used to let people move in a common direction in order to achieve a similar goal. The other good example of this form of the objective is that communication objective is used as a tool for motivation to improve intended results or productivity. It can also be used as a form of entertainment and brand awareness among other functions. Outcome objectives are suitable in making choices of methods, making comparisons, implementing performance index in the health sector, etc.
