How would you determine the extent of institutionalizing changes to become part of a organization’s normal functioning? Justify your answer.
Feedback is one of the ways to check whether the desired state
of institutionalizing changes have become a normal functioning of
the business. So if you observe the following things happening in
your organisation then it is evident that the adaption to changes
have become a normal part of you business . The employees are no
longer talking about the changes in the organisation , resisting
change through any of their actions , or experimenting with new
ways of being stick to their old ways. This represents that changes
have now become permanent and the new behaviors have become
embedded as part of the organizational culture. In addition to it
if the employees are clear about what task they are supposed to be
doing in terms of achievement of target , and if the manager is an
expert or a helper rathen than convincing them to adapt change ,
then it is more likely that the employees will be able to do what
is required of them.
The level of change involvement in terms of employees is a clear
sign. The employees must have help and resources to
institutionalize changes so if the manager is now not viewed as the
only person responsible for change, then there is no doubt. The
employees become innovator and problem solver.
