Consider some of the mentors you have had up to this point in your career development. Can you think of one who really inspired you to go in a specific direction? How did your mentor inspire you? What can you do to be a good mentor to others in the future?
I have been indeed fortunate enough to get fine mentors in my personal and professional life so far. I learned a lot for them. Whatever good i possess today, it is because of my mentors.
Some of my teachers in school, professors in academic life, my Tennis as well as Yoga coach, violin teacher, my elder brother and some other people cultivated my psyche in the best possible right directions.
I have been interested in Yoga and meditation since my college days. I chose to go for a professional class to better comprehend and practise Yoga and meditation.
My mentor was an Indian person named "Vivek Dharmadhikari". He always talked, shared, suggested experimented in an entirely holistic manner. His reflections were based on the Indian philosophy of life.
He inspired me to live at fullest the every moment in this very life. He made me realise that the materialistic and the tangible facets of life are perishable and thirst after them proves to be in vein.
His focus on the deeply intangible, intrinsic and spiritual aspects revitalised my thought process. I became self motivated, achieved more serenity, calmness and peace within. This resulted in elevation of the performance at workplace as well.
