Career Development - what would you expect from your company or manager as it relates to Career Development? What is your manager's role in the process? Career development is the ambition of all employees as they wish their loyalty and work for the company is given the best of credits with such growth. This also allows them to train and share their skills with the newcomers as well as be efficient in their job and role to be in a position of power with a substantial reward from the business. The career development for an employee to the employer would be growth in money, rewards like promotions, position to handle a team, and also be given certain autonomy for his job to make him do his ideas a chance of controlled experimentation.

The managers are the people who make the needed decision for the business where the employee’s skills are considered to make the needful decision about the processes which a career growth would entail. The skills measures, the development of ideas by the employee, behavior, and ability to be able to resolve and solve manpower and technical problems with a good deal of experience are the aspects that a manager sees for career development. The manager should have an eye for the individual to give them the opportunities to grow like training, some freedom for innovation, idea generation, etc. Further, the manager’s role in employee performance data is to be collected to make the career development goals be achieved by the manager.

The business resource like manpower is a big asset that may create a difference between the competitors in the market of the day. Hence the resource of manpower is important to get the best of people and skills in the business with the needed motivation and opportunity to show the skills and grow. The potential employee identification for such a growth program is like the basis to prepare the career path with the needed inputs from time to time to develop the assets for the business which is key for its sustainability and growth for the long term.
