Pre-registration saves the patient time to understand and helps to clearly answer the registration questions presented to them in the paper form. The aim is to reduce less paperwork and to collect a complete medical history of patients. STEPS FOR REGISTERING A PATIENT : Registering a patient includes the following steps 1. Send a welcome phone call or email to the new patient inviting them to fill out a secure registration form. Introduce by name( medical administrator) and hospital name to patient and guide the patient through the pre-registration process 2. Inform the patient about any items to bring to the appoinment like test reprts 3. Obtaining accurate and complete demographic, insurance and medical information in the registration form for easy access to the admission process. 4. Check the patient insurance eligibility before the admission of the patient. 5. Schedule the patient's appointment and inform the details about date and time of appoinment to the patient. 6. Prior arrangemen to the possible diagnostic laboratory tests based on the protocol. 7. Answer all questions about the registration process, practice and medical team.
