Introduction :- Prosocial moral development by Eisenberg and The stages of moral reasoning by Lawrence kohlberg both are the stages defining moral development of human being in entire life. The parallels description are given below one by one theory :-

PROSOCIAL MORAL DEVELOPMENT :- This, moral development is given by Eisenberg in which he divided in Five main stages from self-centered concern to other centered concerned till value centered concern they are as follow:-

1.Hedonistic, means ro the stage of self focused almost when an individual ll be in pre school.

2. Need of other orientations.

3.sterotyped approval - focused orientations.

4, Empathatic orientations and

5. Internatised orientations, which is found rare in children.

STAGE OF MORAL REASONING. :- This stages of moral development is given by Lawrence kohlberg, in which he given levels which are further divided in sub stages. as follow,

  • Level 1. Preconventional :- Sub stage of this level are 1. obediences and punishment stage. 2. Instrumental stage.
  • Level 2. Conventional :- Sub stage of this level are. 1. Good boy, nice girl orientations 2.Law and order orientations.
  • Level 3.Postconventional :- Sub stages of this level are. 1.Social contract orientations. 2. Universal - ethical -principal orientations.

Some Similarities and dissimilarities between this moral development

? Similarities :- 1. Both the theories are basically focused on moral development of human life.

2. Both, the theories are focused from the birth of an individual and divided on stages and ages are not mentioned.

Dissimilarities :- 1. Eisenberg's moral development is basically focused on the development of morality of an individual and its described on the bases of education stages whereas, Kohlberg moral development is not mentioned in such a ways.
