Answer) Athletic department and academic department are similar in developing psychological skills in children be it how to approach a game or a problem,it is akin to the saying that every challenge is first overcome in the mind,second similarity is found in developing a strategy,a plan be it athletic department or be it academic depatment,third similarity is when it comes to preparation as both requires hard work and high level of practice,in terms of how both departments are different,one has to look at how physical fitness is much moree required in athletic department,second difference can be seen in terms of pre gifted factors such as height in basketball which means someone may not even think of participating in basketball if their height is short.

Now coming to how does this explain different ways university administration treats each differently,university administration looks at different requirements of students in athletic department based on their physical traits which may not be the case with academic department,add to that administration looks at how students may need to be more physically fit in athletic department so running special classes for fitness but not so for academic department,in academic department,administration may look to hone intelligent students' more and not everyone with talent.
