Academic and spiritual grow are tied together in many ways.
For instance, for me I look to my faith in God to keep me going from day today. When I am feeling down or even overwhelmed with my kids and with starting this new path in life on my own I put my faith in Jesus , know that he would not put more on me than I could bear.
That alone keeps me focused and motivated to continue to push forward in my personal life and in academic career.
My mother always tells me never think you did this all on your own because just as quick as you got where you are now He can take it all away. My mother also told me this and not to ever forget, “All things are possible through Christ Jesus”.
As for me I wouldn’t be where I am today without feeding my spiritual growth and getting to know Jesus. do you feel it is important to encourage academic and spiritual growth together? I definitely feel it is important to encourage academic and spiritual growth together because our faith keeps us motivated to continue on this path we are all taking now.
Not every day will be easy and sometimes I don’t feel like I have anyone and that’s where spiritual growth comes in. I know that if I have him by my side and I am continuously giving him power and praise He will make sure I end up on top. I know that there are many people that are doing it alone, going to work, have kids to tend to, or even a man or a girl know one thing for sure that He will always be there. He is our provider, our nurturer, our healer, and our motivator anytime any day anywhere.
Some activities that occur in college seem to strengthen students' spiritual growth. Interdisciplinary studies, service learning, and study abroad were all found to enhance spiritual development, as was a "student-centered" teaching approach.Those experiences include self-reflection, meditation, and contemplation.
