6. Explain the role of the “Vienna Circle” in the history of analytic philosophy.
Vienna Circle
The Vienna Circle was a group of philosophers . Members of this group were Hans Hahn, Otto Neurath, Rudolf Carnapm, Kurt Godel. This group was well know as Logical Empiricism. The goal of the Vienna Circle was Enlightment. They had tried to make philosophy more analytic and Scientific.
Role of Vienna Circle
Analytic Philosophy is a change in the view of Philosophy. It was a movement in the 20th century done by a group of Philosophers who are well known as the Vienna Circle. The main goal of the Analytic Philosophy was making the philosophy more scientific and logical. According to the Vienna Circle, philosophy is a science so we should apply logical techniques for discovering something in this area.
This circle claims that every discussion of the philosophy should be scientific and logical. Their radically anti-metaphysical view was influenced by an empiricism of Mathamatics and Science.The Vienna circle's theorey was aslo conceptualized with the logical and Scientific viewpoints. This group was the fist group who was claiming that philosophical discussion need to be done with logical and analytic evidance. According to Vienna Circle there is no reality in the Concept of Metaphysics. So they rejects the idea of Metaphysics and the view of Analytic Philosophy was conceptualized
