During the world war Clinical psychology became more stable. Clinical psychologist were called on to help treat which is now reffered to as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Research found that all the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)-level degrees in psychology were awarded in the area of clinical psychology.
