a)Explain how history plays a role in the distribution of species
b)Name and describe the biotic and abiotic factors that determines the abundance of organisms (this should be a long answer)
c)Name and then describe the major terrestrial biomes of the Earth, include the factors that are most important for determining the distribution of the biomes.
a. Various types of organisms live on this Earth. No species is present everywhere on Earth. Kind and number of species changed dramatically as we move from one part of Earth to another. The science of distribution of species is called as biogeography
Species distribution had never been same in the history of Earth and the study of distribution of species is called as biogeography. The distribution has been dependent on environment, ecological distribution, continental drift and evolutionary change.
When the continents separated which were earlier was one continent, the species living in those continents divide. Then each separated continent species evolve characters accordingly to the environment.
During the history of Earth, conditions on the Earth have changed so many times that each species have undergone many changes.
For example, during ice age, many species have Southward.if species is not able to change according to the charging condition, then species can extinct.
