Question 2: Job Description is also referred to as a document that provides information regarding the tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the job (Mondy & Noe, 2005), while the Job Specification underlines the minimum acceptable qualification that a person should possess in order to perform a particular job (Mondy & Noe, 2005).
a) Develop a Job Description for the position of Director of Human Resource. You are required to include duties and responsibilities, reporting line, special duties and working conditions.
b) Develop Job Specification for the above position including qualification, related experience, skills, knowledge, behavior, and special demands
a) Job Description of Director of Human Resource:-
1. Human resource director is responsible for staffing and recruiting.
2. He is on who has to initiate in organizational planning
3. He keeps an account on the performance indicators of the employees
4. He has to check the new employee's orientation, their development and training activities shall be carried out under the hr directors guidance
5. He has to develop new policies on work-related and workplace issues.
6. Main duty is related to the employee relation
7. Proper communication on work to the employees
8. Employee compensation and benefits issue
9. Counselling of the employees
10. Company committee meetings and hospitality sector addressing
11. Overall employee service, welfare,health-related matters undertaking
12. Staffing posting interviews
13. Selection of right candidates for the job
b) Job Specification of Human Resource Director:
1. He/she must possess 7-10 years of responsibility in the human resource field
2. Has to be qualified on supervising and managing a team as a whole
3. Must be a trusted member as a senior-level executive and that takes the whole organization count.
4. Education must be of a masters degree in business or human resource management
Related field.
5. Must have highly developed teamwork skills.
6. Must be able to direct the human resource team.
7. Must possess skills to increase productivity and must be able to implement new methods and approach that contributes to the organization.
8. Should have strong commitment towards employee relations.
9. Must be able to use various software in human resource and file management.
10. Must be able to do talent management.
11. Must be well versed in the labour contracting and labour laws.
