Job analysis involves compiling a detailed description of tasks, determining the relationship of the job to technology and to other jobs and examining the knowledge, qualification or employment standards, accountabilities and other incumbent requirement.

Job analysis is basically a proper description given of the roles and responsibilities of a specific job role.It also includes the skills both technical and non technical required by a candidate to perform well in the job role. Job analysis is generally done to create a base for forming a proper job description that can be shared to get the most appropriate candidates.Job analysis is also done to find the need of training for the current employees. Job analysis can also be helpful in measuring the performance of the current employees and to decide their compemsation.
For example, if we have to do job analysis for a role of Human Resource Manager, we have to first observe the tasks that a HRM manager does on day to day basis. The HRM needs to perform various tasks like conducting interviews, providing training, oboarding of the candidates, exit management, performance review, etc. So, a proper job analysis will contain in detail all the above roles and responsibilities. Now to fulfill the above roles and responsibilities, there are different skills required. An introvert person will have a lot of problems in taking these responsibilities, as these needs to deal with a large number of people on a daily basis. This job requires a higly outgoing and emphathetic person who is well versed with various human resource frameworks. The person in this job should also be educated in the labor laws as it will be his responsibility to deal with conflicts between the employees. The HR role needs a understanding of various domains too as the HR person needs to manage employees of all the domains. The job also requires someone who is a team player as well has leadership qualities. The job will require a dedicated person who is ready to devote his time for the organization. The job also demands that the candidate must have knowledge of HR analytics to maintain large pool of organizational information.
