analyze each level of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, and articulate the level which most affects you when making a purchase. Provide support for your rationale by utilizing an example. (Please cite)
1)Basic Needs shelter, warmth, security, food and rest. Everyone has a specific need for knowing where their next meal is coming from, and having shelter and protection is essential tomaintain mental and physical needs. This need is the highest level of Maslow’s Hierarchy, if I was purchasing a car because, imagine the rain, dust and other nature elements that could prevent individuals from getting to work on time in an efficient, safe manner during a weather event in India.
2)Psychological needs prestige, and feeling of accomplishment, intimate relationship, and friends. Love and belonging from family friends and co-workers.
3) Love and belongingness needs friendship, intimacy, trust, and acceptance, receiving and giving affection and love. Affiliating, being part of a group (family, friends, work).
4) Esteem needs which Maslow classified into two categories: (i) esteem for oneself (dignity, achievement, mastery, and independence) (ii) the desire for reputation or respect from others (e.g., status, prestige). Maslow indicated that the need for respect or reputation is most important for children and adolescents and precedes real self-esteem or dignity.
5) Self-actualization needs -realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth and peak experiences.
Basic needs - I think that Tata could implement several plans in order to make the process to purchase the Nano more efficient for potential buyers. The first thing that Tata has to do is identify the needs and wants of the consumers. I think that because of size, price, and other essential qualities of the Nano, it can be marketed to different groups of people.
