Three factors which are contributing to motivation are as follows-
A.Needs- Needs are said to be an inherent biological state of deficiency.needs are the state of cellular or body deficiency that will be compelling the drive. Needs are what our body will be seeking.
Example- Needs for human will be defined as water,food,and oxygen.
B.Drives- drives are defined as perceived states of tension when our bodies are deficient in some need. it will be reflecting an urge to eliminate the tension in the brain.Drives will be occouring when our body are deficient in internal need. All of psychological needs of human will be having these drives.
Example- example could be highly thirsty would be a drive to drink water.
C. Incentive- incentives will be the the product of expectancies and values. Individuals will be believing that they can be succeed in the life and there will be values which are tied into direct and indirect benefits in performing the task. These are defined as external objects which will be motivating the behaviour of an individual.
Example- Gold medal school quiz competition can be an incentive for individual to study hard.
