Media not only influences the content of information, but it also affects how people understand each other in process of human communication, especially for those from different culture. But new culture hatched media creates a continuity gap between tradition and innovation within a culture. It also breeds communication gaps between different culture and ethnic groups. The fragmented nature of media has switched traditional cultural grammar, themes,or maps to a new pattern, resulting in loss of traditional cultural logic.
Media induced Stereotypes:Media have a significant influence on social cognition, from anticipation of what to expect, to understanding situation and controlling emotions and feelings. These stereotypes created an incomplete, subjective and in certain instances, unrealistic or false idea of reality.Media is still using gender stereotypes.Males are influenced regarding the limits of their aggressiveness and not showing emotions and feelings.Females are influenced regarding their position in society, occupation and to their physical image.
