1. MTTF and MTBF are the terms used for non-repairable and repairable components respectively.

The components on airports with MTTF and MTBF are

1) All the lights will have MTTF

2) Pavements will have MTBF

3) Control tower facilities comes under both these categories as they will house equipments which will be both repairable and non repairable.

4) Hanger components are mostly structural steel parts which will have MTTF

5) Hotel facilities are dining, laundry, house keepings will have MTBF

The benefits of these resources are as follows :

1) all the lights are easy to replace and not much time is wasted on their replacement.

2) There is certainly an extra advantage that the pavement failure can be predicted earlier that their maintenance becomes well planned.

3) Tower facilities most of the times are already having their expiry dates and provision for their timely replacement can be made.

4) steel components from the hanger mostly don't fail in near time. Their age is quite large compared to other airport parts.

5) Extra maintenance team is always active to cope up with any problems that may arise with the hotel management. So manager doesn't have to worry much.

2) timely allocation of the resources is of utmost importance

3) records shows that minute error can halit the operation of airports particularly, if that error happens in control tower or air traffic management.

4) If hangers are not maintained in their best situation then aeroplanes will be required to wait for a long for their maintenance because they have no other places for their maintenance except to the hanger

5) Poor hotel facilities can have an impact on people's mind that the overall services of the airport are not nice.
