YES, blogging is also subjected to same practices aof news media.
Following points can explain this:
(1)Bloggers also employ Agenda-setting practices in their blogs. They try to influence the importance placed on the topics of the public agenda. They try to create public awareness and concern of salient issues of society.
(2) Bloggers are also involved in gatekeeping because through this process they filter the information for dissemination, publication, broadcasting through the internet, or some other mode of communication.
(3)Blogging is also subjected to framing practices such as social construction of a social phenomenon through choice of certain words and images to cover a story.
(4)Blogging also provides a forum for public criticism and compromise for their articles.
(5)Blogging aslo changes the mind of public and influence their opinion.
