1) I want to work for a company which is diversified in terms of the industries and sectors it caters to and thus providing me a wider exposure. IHS Markit fits the bill here as it is a leader in providing informational and analytical services to industries as diverse as defence, chemicals, financial markets and even to governments. Moreover it uses cutting edge analytics and provides insights to make a difference in the business of its customers and in today’s world where data is the new oil, it is a perfect place to get a rela world exposure to all these exciting things.

2) From the internship description, the role requires working in a team environment and requires superior numerical and analytical skills. I present myself as a candidate who has worked in teams wherein I have handled the budgeting and co-ordinating the events held at college. Also my SAT scores and Maths Olympiad scores shows that I am numerically well equipped. So I would be a good fit for the role.

3) Like I said IHS Markit provides informational services and analytics to a wide range of customers which include players in sectors such as aerospace, defence, chemicals and also some national governments. It is also into consulting to improve the processes and make them more efficient based on the analytics that we do on the available data. Thus primarily it is a knowledge driven company.
