I have been working as a sales manager for about 4 years now.I have been a part of several sales team in my organization ,but this is the only firm with which I have worked for now.As a sales manager my job is very dynamic and challenging at the same time,I love to intereact with people which is the best thing for me.I like everything but sometimes uncalled meetings and overlaping calls bother me.My organization give me the liberty to chose my working style and my schedule ,there is no rigid rules on timing or the scheduling of work.The groung work or the most important work is to get new customers as it helps the organization to grow and gets business to the firm, so leade generation is very important for a business at any point of time.I also generate leads as that is a part of my job.Cold calls , linkedin , social networking sites and with the help of some outsoursers I generate leads.Networking is the most important way to connect to people and generate leads.There is a commission per client we get and I have a fixed component to my salary and the variable includes the commsission.When any new product is added to business there is a training to make the employees aware of the product so that they can sell it to others, there is a proper classroom training with all the explainations and all the questions are also answered.The sales material aswell as the addition material which help in sales are also provided by the firm.Every sales manager has a area assigned which is his territory,my area of work is of about 100km which includes 200 householdes.I have a team of 10 people who work under me in the area.The biggest challeng is to acquire new clients now as there is tremendious amount of competiton and we have a number of rivels who do the same work.Winning back custoners is very important for us , we try to put up special deals for to win back our customers.We believe in providing the best service to our customer and better after sales services to retain our customers so that we do not loose our customers and word of mouth helps us get new business.
