Describe what employee engagement looks like in an organization, why it is important to sustainability efforts, and how employee engagement can facilitate committed action. Use personal examples to help illustrate your points.
Employee engagement is when an employee is completely into a certain job that they have been disgnated to within a given organization.
It is very important that each and every employee within an organization is engaged as the company is a unit which is made up of its employees efforts, and if these efforts aren't to its full potential, the organization could fall through the cracks.
Once the employee is completely engaged, it would give impetus to what is called OBC, thst is, organizational behavior citizenship, which is the propensity of the employee to associate self deeply and positive with the organization, which would further lead to committed action and sustainable work environment
For instance, back in uni, my psychology professor gave me duties that were keeping engaged other than class assignments, which gave me a feeling of self worth and appreciation for tasks, which made me motivated to shine and help the university shine as well.
