Why is it important to move your body (exercise) during the pandemic? Using research evidence and conceptual ideas support your arguments.
The benefits of physical activity and exercise were demonstrated
throughout our lifespan. We are meant to move, and many of our body
systems work better when physically active. To control depression
symptoms, some research indicates that elevated levels of aerobic
activity (exercise that substantially increases our heart rates)
could be correlated with greater depressive symptom reductions.
Consider engaging in physical activity once or twice daily, which
includes shorter intensity periods (30-90 seconds). For others,
this may be done by home exercises like jumping jacks, dancing and
sequencing strength training exercises (i.e. standing squats,
pushups, sit-ups). Using home workout machines can be helpful for
others. Strength-training demonstrates decreased anxiety effects
for individuals. Corona virus attacks and damages the body's immune
system, while involvement in daily physical exercise shows to boost
the immune system. Scientists discovered in 2012 that regular
aerobic exercise can also boost the body's level of healthy white
blood cells, which strengthens the body's ability to combat
infections. There is also evidence that exercise can be helpful for
mood even though the workout is not as enjoyable. It is important
for family members to take a supportive role in the promotion of
physical activity and exercise during the pandemic period. Experts
believe the best way to stay physically active is to find
activities that are both enjoyable and challenging.
