Restorative justice is a system of criminal justice which focuses on rehabilitation of offenders through reconcilliation with vctims and other community at large. It is meant to empower victim and communities when they have been harmed. But from government perspective it further its control over subject of crime, few reason behind this is given below:

  • It is a form of justice that aims to involve the parties to a dispute and other who was victim to collectively identifying harm, need and obligations by accpeting mesures and accepting responsibility to rectify the mistake.
  • By doing various community service as a form of restoration it helps to achieve common good and guilty person realises his mistakes as well.
  • A restorative jsutice process operate over the belief that path to justice lies in the problem solving and in the way of punishing them without making them realise their mistake and giving chance to rectify the same.
  • It also helps the government to build a model citizen and not harsely punishing low and moderate level crime where if they would have been exposed to prison might have affected them in very wrong way.
