Expert Solution

Lateness of students has following effects:

  • It disrupts the flow of lecture
  • Distract other students
  • Obstruct learning
  • Fade class morale
  • Students who arrive late don't take responsibility for themselves
  • There expectations are not in line with the instructor's
  • Students don't realize how their lateness affect others
  • Some have physical or logistical reasons for coming late

Following are the causes:

?PEOPLE

  • Students walk to schools with their peers, chatting and playing and dragging their feet in their way to school and hence end up getting late to their respective classes.
  • Illiteracy of some parents: some parents don't bother or care about the academics of their children. They don't make follow ups and have ignorant attitude towards their education and thus leading to missing poor attendance in school.
  • Teachers should use motivational tools both intrinsic (answering correctly appreciating the students by words excellent good genius) in their teaching methods and make the class lively , And extrinsic methods like giving prizes and rewards for the students who come early to school ,perform well, it could be in form of certificate or end term parties, and coupons to attend education programs and display name on notice boards.
  • Lack of proper monitoring on parents side on activities of their children.
  • Early responsibility on students at a tender age due to incarceration of the father or mother who managed the financial status of the family.

Material Related cause:

  • Alcohol
  • Electricity
  • Petrol
  • Heavy food
  • Drugs

Some children are under drug abuse and extensive use of alcohol and so they are performing similar activities after school. Overtime they loose interest in studies and discontinue school.

The petrol station are always overcrowded and in lack of time if there is no petrol in vehicle that children use for transportation then thy get late to school thereby obstructing their studies.

During extensive rainfall or storms if their is powrcut or no electricity backup then children can not use washing machines and iron for clean and tidy uniform's which is necessary for entering school hence unwilling to attend class.

Machines:

  • Students come late to class due to delay of their transportation. Sometimes due to improper schedule of the drivers, and some students who come by their own come by far distance which sometimes makes it hard for them to get transport on time.
  • Students go to bed late because of watching movies on their home theatres and that results in waking up late
  • Overuse of laptops and mobiles have also led them to sleep late and hence they are not interested in attending school curriculum and such important activities.
  • Sometimes when kids leave for school they instead skip classes among group of friends and go to gaming parlor without their parents or teachers cosent
  • Children who are sick are hospitalized and recoup with help of various machines in the hospitals and in the mean time are unable to attend the schools. In this case the machines have a positive impact and necessary for the child. Hence the machinery is not always impeding the growth of a child but sometimes also help them in various manners.

Methods:

  • VIP move without any fear on the wrong side of the road which in turn creates hours of traffic jam and hence causes suffering to use the common people.
  • Pedestrian walk on Road: there are again two reasons for the same
  1. Occupied footpath
  2. Lack of motivation to use over bridge

Most of the footpaths are occupied by the street vendors and hawkers which leaves no space for the passersby and again passersby are not motivated enough to use the overbridge and that obstructs the vehicles leafing to traffic issues which in turn maketr students late to their respective classes
