In construction projects the main attention is paid towards the construction planning. In this the the technology for construction, resources used for construction, total duration of the construction, duration for individual task and work task definition for are the main things over which attention is paid. Apart from these technical aspects atten is also paid towards the relation between the participants of the project and the other agencies that will be involved in the project. (i) Research and planning

(ii) Preparing the bid

(iii) Submit the bid

(iv) Presentation platform

(v) Getting the contract award

These steps are explained below

(i) Research and planning:-

In this you have to check the experience and resources of your company to meet the needs of the major contract. This is the critical step and takes time. In this phase you have to go through your business plans and also check the contract-bid request information and obtain the relevant details from it and also perfect them for the project. Further research on requesting company needs to be done in this phase to get the mission and vision of the company.

(ii) Preparing the bid:-

In this you have to highlight your plan how your company will satisfy the bid request. You have to consider cost of materials, time and labour that will be used to complete the bid. You do not have to give the lowest cost always but you have to give best materials optimum time frame as well. Be very clear how you are giving the discount to the company and how that will be beneficial for the company.

(iii) Submit the bid:-

Usually the government agencies use the web portal for submission of bids. You have to learn how these portals work and also the proper documents that are needed to submitted are kept available. The private agencies may have different way of submission of bid that depends upon the company.

(iv) Presentation platform:-

If the bid submitted by you has proper pricing of things in it and if that is superior than others, you will be called for meeting with the deciding team of that bid. In today's world usually online meeting through internet is done. You have to be prepared to answer all the questions related to everything in the bid. In this step you will be asked whether this is your final bid. If you can make slight changes in that you can say there to make the revised bid. You should be able to answer how the total price is low.

(v) Getting contract award:-

After getting the contract you will have to check timeline of the events. Make all the necessary preparations to fullfill the contract. Be in touch with the awarding agency and start a dilaogue about the start date of the contract. Finish your work at the proper and specified time so as to increase your chances of future bidding awards.

Q28:- Ans:- Construction contract administration is responsible for administering the construction contracts. The people in the contract administration are known as contract administrators who are appointed by the client. The constravt administrators should give decisions very honestly and their decisions can be challenged through dispute resolution process unless these are made final.

The role of contract administrator is very important and include inviting and processing of tenders, for execution purposes preparing of contract documents, chairing meeting of construction progress and issuing thier report, coordination and instruction of site inspectors, issues related to defects etc.

Q29:- Ans:-

The file which is used to assemble other files and which has the ability to open the other files through hyperlinks is called project file. For example a contractor can make a project file representing his work which consists of separate files of different targets. The contractor can make hyperlinks to those different targets in the project file. So when the contractor opens the project file with a particular hyperlink, the file corresponding to that hyperlink opens.
