Solutions

Expert Solution

Conflicts are natural and obvious. They have to be dealt with a holistic approach instead of avoiding them.

In the context of the given situation wherein a patient is begging for the medication and i feel that there may occur repeat episode of respiratory depression, i will firstly have a talk with the patient, will try to convince him.

I will be listening to every word of the patient with all the empathy. The sentiments and information he shares, will be handled with all the sensitivity.

I will strive to create a win- win situation through referring to recent such cases on the basis of my experience, surfing online and taking opinions of more experienced medical professionals.

Eventually i will make a decision by taking the patient into confidence and one or two more doctors will also be involved in the decision to enhance the effectiveness and accuracy of the decision.

The above mentioned ways will help to resolve the conflict, i feel.
