Give an example of a workplace conflict and describe what can be done to resolve it.
Major workplace conflict included the ego clashes and the misunderstandings that occur among colleagues or between two individuals in a team. One major conflict was the argument related to the importance of the tasks assigned in a project work while working in a team. One felt that the others work was more important. Beginning as a casual talk ,it will move on to heated argument and then as a strong conflict.
Conflict of any kind should be resolved immediately or else it might take a bad turn.
It will be the responsibility of the leader to bring them together for a one to one talk and ask them about their conflict.
He should clearly enumerate the importance of every individual. Their importance in contribution to the project work.
He should clear his doubts about the importance of the assigned task in each individual and then react to their sayings.
The individuals should be made important and feel valuable at their work pace
The team leader should compromise both and create a win win situation so that both will feel happy and thereby improve their productivity. Thus the conflict can be solved.
