1) We emphasized that leadership is the “driver” of a total quality system. What does this statement imply and what implications does it have for future CEO’s? Middle managers? Supervisors?
Leadership is the ability of a person in any organization, to guide an individual or team of individuals and help them produce good results. Not only are leaders independent, strongly willed thinkers, they also have a sense of motivation, direction and an ability that allows them to be able to bring the best out in the people. No matter how effective, efficient a system is, there's a high chance that without a leader, there would be no sense of direction, no personal involvement, no understanding of the situation and interpersonal goals that need to be achieved. It is, therefore, safe to say that leadership is the driver behind all the other organization functions.
The future CEO, Middle managers as well as the Supervisors should realize the importance of the essence of good leadership qualities and execution and essentially allow the company to achieve the goals that they have set, as well as allow the company to propel forward in the direction it needs to go. Duties are different at the different levels of organization between all the three given roles but it still remains that all these have leadership in common. Therefore, future leaders need to realize the importance of the part they are supposed to play in the growth of the company.
