I received a model of a reinforced concrete office building design in Revit from a coworker, and I’d like to get started on some of the sheets that will make up the document sets for the project.

What are some elements I should consider including in my sheets?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Revit is a well manufactured designing software and there should be some known elements required in sheet so that it would be easy to understand and work on the design given by the co-worker. Below are some of the elements that would be required and would be helpfull in the spread sheets :

  • Function - it is a built-in element in the sheet which would be helpfull in cell, rows, columns, range and manipulate the data given by the country worker.
  • Cell - a single data point or the smallest given element in the sheet.
  • Columns and Rows - as per the general terms column and rows are the vertical and horizontal arrangements of the cells.
  • Range - it is the selection of the cells in any row or columns when they are being extended.
  • Formula - it would be used to calculate the desired results by inputting the values given in all the above elements like rows and columns. Itmay be of different types like multiplication addition or any other type.
  • Worksheet - the named sets of the rows and columns so that it would maintain a single spread sheet.

All the above mentioned are the basic elements which would be required by the client if you start analysing any work or design using the sheets.
