What are some ways that a company could fail at trying to become a glocalized business?
Companies trying to become glocalized business fails due to following reasons :
a. When the company try to glocalize they must be able to be highly sensitive to the taste, culture, social values, habits etc of the customers from that particular region instead of trying to sell the generalized product or service. Like for example Barbie making a hijab wearing doll or creating content in local language.
b. Increase in cost of production and marketing to local areas increases the overall cost of product or services in glocalization unlike the other approaches especially when the company or brand is not financially strong.
c. Cultural differences can create obstacles for the companies considering glocalization as they must consider the various aspects like for example when company is trying to glocalize in India they must know that the product cannot be customized as in reality, many cultures and traditions are followed in India which makes it many India's not just one.
