What do you think can be done to improve the ethical behavior of all criminal justice participants?
One of the most important things about people in the criminal justice system is that they should adopt the concept of equality. They should learn to treat everyone equally irrespective one’s race, religion, culture, socio-economic status etc. this would mean that no one would be favored as it would prevent justice to another person. Secondly, they should use their authority not as a tool to dominate common men but help them understand the importance of obeying and following the laws of the land thus, acting as friends and not as threats. Thirdly, they should overcome corruptions because once they start receiving bribe or get some favor from someone, they might need to be loyal to them which would hinder their duty. Finally, they need to be honest and hold on to their integrity at all time. This would also mean that they themselves do their job without violating the rules of the land. This would mean that they shouldn’t absent themselves from their work without proper reason as they act for the safety and security of the entire nation.
