I)Limitations of leadership in
criminal justice organizations- The limitations
include-
1)-the lack of initiative among the
top police officers and criminal justice officers to accept the
leadership regulations power and authority .
2)The government spends millions of
dollars for the upliftment of the DARE( Drug abuse resistance
program) but still there is lack of awareness before the intake of
these narcotic drugs.
3) Various theories of leadership
qualities have been developed but there is lack of implementation
of the theories in real life.
4)lack of objectives, initiation and
motivation among the criminal justice administrators or managers to
lead the organization.
5)lack of manpower in the criminal
justice organizations to lead important tasks and take important
decisions in life.
6)lack of training modules and lack
of organization of workshops which provide special training to
develop the abilities to take important decisions in the
organization.
7)lack of advancement of technology
which can provide valid proof of the scene of the crime in the
investigation agency.
II)Yukl leadership qualities are
discussed to develop the potential among leaders in criminal
justice organizations and the problems associated with them---
- genuine request by the client-- The
client should give genuine evidence of the occurence of the crime
in various situations.
- use of threat and coercion--The
agency or organization can use death threat to extract the evidence
of the scene of crime from the person convicted.
- compliance--this allows the
flexibilty and altering of facts according to the situation with
more time duration to analyze the reason of crime.
- appeal and justification- it allows
the agency to compromise after the victim reveals the important
facts regarding the scene of crime after the availability of all
the facilities within a time frame.
- opinionated doctrination--it
includes the provision of all the facilities and the organization
and agency dictates that the behavior of the person should be
according to the facilities provided to them with the exact
relevation of facts and important details important and prevalent
at the scene of crime.
- distortion of facts and
details--This includes the flexibility and change of the
presentation of the facts in a distorted way so that it appears
that the situation was justified to commit such mistake.
- structural engineering of the
place--it includes the change of the locality and living place of
the person after the real facts and evidences are disclosed by the
person.

includes the decision of the court to prevent the overcrowding of
the person in the jail and to devise ways to move them to other

- III) Contingency theories discuss
the importance of the relationship between the warden and the
criminals in the jail. The warden of the criminal organization has
important obligations and limitation within which the running of
the organization needs to be discussed.
- Fiedler contingency
concept-- It includes the study of the reliability,
trust and confidence among the employers and the colleagues in
running the organization .It is based on mutual understanding, good
communication, and ability to take important decisions at the
correct time with full confidence. The position power includes the
power and authority of the person to take important decisions in
life which includes the ability to hire and fire subordinates
during working in the organization. It includes the special powers
that are not under the authority of the police sergeants. They are
under the authority of political persons, civil servants and
highest authority police officers.
