In two paragraph, explain the hierarchical structure of a system that you have worked on and how emergence affects the levels in the systems hierarchy. Provide details and apply what you learned here to discuss what (if any) changes you would have done, if you have to do it all over again.
A hierarchical structure is an organisational structure where every entity except one is aligned to or subordinate to other single entity. In a hierarchical structure, there is usually different levels of organisations where the most powerful entity is at top and the subsequent organisations have low power beneath them. The level of power decreases as we move downwards. They are usually represented in a pyramid shape.
Hierarchy is a way to structure an organization using different levels of authority and a vertical link, or chain of command, between superior and subordinate levels of the organization. Higher levels control lower levels of the hierarchy. You can think of an organizational hierarchy as a pyramid.
Most organisations have three management levels i.e.first-level,middle-level,and top level managers. The managers are classified according to a hierarchy of authority and perform several tasks.
I have worked in a mid level management level. This has its own pros and cons.We are able to communicate well with the first and top level managers. This ensures the proper communication and the work is done nicely .Sometimes the top level managers force us to do some work which we don't want to as they are in a top position than us so it creates some issues.Otherwise hierarchy is a very nice approach to maintain an organisation.
