In John Updike's "A & P" what do you think about Sammy's decision to quit his job?
In "A &P", John Updike composes that Sammy quit his job
startlingly without giving any information or notice . There are
individuals who feel that Sammy needs substantive motivations to
quit his job. They blame him for giving innocent and youthful
motivations to quitting his job.
I don't believe that Sammy quit out of disobedience. I think he
identified with the girls out of insubordination, however the
quitting part was somewhat something he needed to do in any case
since he went head and carried on before his supervisor. What he
does is a demonstration of nonsensicalness more so than
disobedience. At last he turns out losing the two different ways:
With the girls, and with his job. We as a whole realize that he
needs that job for some explanation. Truly, he had very few
different choices yet to quit. All things considered, without a
doubt he will get terminated extremely speedy.
Sammy's demonstration of quitting in John Updike's "An and P" is a
certification of his individuality.
Thanks and plzz don't forget to hit thumbs up:)...
