The watching of violence on video games and or television leads to violent behavior as it develops aggressive behavior in children. It tends to evoke criminal behavior in children and they try to reciprocate what has been shown in the media and TV channels. Various time displacement studies are done which analyzes the perception and intensity of the stimulus in perturbing the response of the brain. The brain regions get affected and develop an imprinting response in the brain leading to false beliefs and imaginations. The various effects on the brain include:
The long term effects include the observation and analysis of the emotions with activation and desensitization of the emotions in the brain. The effects were studied in detail with repeated exposures of the violent happenings leading to a desensitization response in the brain with feelings of aggressive behavior and violent response. This phase involves the increase in the heart rates, persipration ,anxiety, stress and depression. The observational learning includes the stages of development which include the various stages of childhood with the learning of the situations in the surroundings and developing the ability to learn the things which were demonstrated to them in the childhood.
The statistical survey studies were conducted which included the analysis of the time for which children played video games and time for watching violent programs on the television, with rating of the intensity of the programs which were harmful to the children and families who were watching the television at home. The percentage of people watching these crimes was calculated and analyzed for these studies. The programs are rated as A for adult viewers and M for mature children and viewership for over the age of 18 years.Meta-analysis has been done regarding the viewership with analysis with Paik and Comstock and Anderson and Bushman. The aggressive behaviors and emotions were recorded and the readings were analyzed in detail with detailed study of the emotions. A variety of emotions regarding push, grab, shoulder and kicking with use of legs and hands for bullying was analysed and the results were calculated in a group of study of families and children.
