- Personality traits are always based on both genes and
environment. But it is more influenced by genetics than a
environment. When we little grow up, we want to involve with others
as well, so our traits could be manupulated or controled by
environment. As our personality traits are inbuilt so it is
difficult to change.
Therefore according to me, I believe that genetic and
environmental influences our shape of personalities. Culture and
gene effects our personality. Culture and gene influence our
behaviour, awareness, attitute and beliefs. An individual's trait
of personality is dependent on their environment and genetic
basis.
Generally the big five personality traits define individual's
characteristics, thoughts, shape of human behaviour, and uniqueness
as well. The big five personality traits are :
- Extraversion : Enthusiastic, sociable, funny, positive
attitudes, friendly, talkative etc.
- Agreeableness : Kindly behaviour, cooperative, polite,
adjustable etc.
- Openness : Sensitive, creative, intellectual behaviour
etc.
- Conscientiousness : Goal achiever, patience, responsible,
positive attitude etc.
- Neuroticism : Shy, depressed, fear, anxious, jealousy, guilt
etc
These big five personality traits also known as a five-factor
model. Basically these personality traits can be switched because
though it is gene based but it is not permanent. All these five
personality traits are genetic basis but it can be influenced by
our environment.
- According to our personality traits, we have a tend to choice
our job. As a example, an extrovert person always would like to
choose social interacting job like field work, team leader
position, sales work etc. And an introvert person would like to
choose technical job or computer related job as their personality
traits are like shy, adjustable, passive, silent and reserved.
Therefore personality trait determines our career and it also
affects our interactions with others. Basically we people have a
tend to interact with others basis on their personality traits.
When we interact with others we change our traits because of
interacting them. Therefore our specific traits affect our
interactions with others and your future career choices.
