Course content:Marketing management can be defined as planning the techniques of advertisement by considering the cash requirement of the organisation.Marketing management for a bank is to make people know about services provided by bank.So this course covered the various topics like the prominence of advertising,customer's needs,ways to innovate new marketing techniques,way of implicating these marketing techniques,conducting surveys about the bank and its needs.
Even the procedure to carry out this entire marketing is defined in the course.The method of distribution of resources to various parts of the bank inorder to carry out marketing processes is included too.The course 'Marketing management' even includes way of analysing surveys and making changes in the services which are provided inorder to reach customer's satisfaction and advertising the services appropriately.
Application of course content:By this course knowledge relating to marketing management in bank is gained.As a bank accountant,information regarding the method of increasing trust on bank from customers is attained and responsibility while preparing accounts has increased as it involves trust of the customer.The various techniques of increasing fame of bank is known.The way of advertising techniques to be implicated which makes every person to get to know about the bank and its services offered.Not only verbally told but the marketing methods were even demonstrated in the classroom.It was taught that in this growing world,how internet and social platforms should be used inorder to advertise the bank services.
It was even demonstrated that how to increase the utilization of services provided by bank.The way of advertising services in such a way that customers should get attracted and should be confident enough to open a deposit/fixed/current/savings accounts and use the credit/debit/ATM cards.Another technique which was taught during the course was how to communicate with the customers and the method of describing each and every service provided by bank and its benefits received.
Job experience integration:It was a good work experience obtained as it included a project which demonstrated the usage of social platform through internet.We were asked to advertise a product or service relating to bank on any of the social platform like facebook,twitter,youtube,instagram,etc and performance of analysed individually.This evaluation has considered the number social media users have viewed and responded to the advertise.By this project,the prominence of effective use of terms and techniques on social platform was made to realise.The mistakes are rectified and way of improving performance in advertising was attained.It was even taught how to allocate resources to marketing department.
It was informed that communication acts as weapon in advertising.The fluency and efficiency while communicating attracts customers towards investing in the banks by opening various accounts.Being a bank accountant,by maintaining financial records;knowledge regarding the type of service which the customer is looking for can be known.Information about analysing the cost incurred in implementing marketing techniques was explained.
Hence the marketing management course has developed skills regarding advertising ,analysing costs of advertising and marketing,allocating and managing to distribute resources to marketing departments was briefly explained.
