What factor of language and literacy development on language acquisition affect language development and emergent literacy
One of the most important things that human beings possess is the ability to communicate through verbal language. Almost all the languages around the world has got both spoken and written forms in them. Although people have the innate ability to learn a language thus could learn any language they are exposed to, few people struggle to learn their own language or other languages.
One of the most important reason is the physical inability that affects people from learning languages. Disabilities such as autism and the damage in Broca’s area in the brain will affect the language learning.
The second thing is the environment in which the language is spoken. Someone who lives in a place where no one talks will not learn language because people learn language by listening and trying to talk it out.
In some cultures, girls are not allowed to study thus losing the opportunity to learn another language and losing the opportunity to learn the written language because they are not sent to school.
When people don’t have enough motivation to learn they won’t learn any language except using their first language for basic communication.
Finally, when there are more kids at home, some will lose the opportunity to go to school because of their economic conditions.
