As a leader, you can put ethical values into action and set the example you want followers to live by. You can resist pressures to act unethically just to avoid criticism or achieve short-term gains. Discuss.

Well if a person is a leader then he must've possessed the qualities of being a good leader . A good leader is a person who knows how to handle a situation i.e. he would know the way out he goes through it and shows it. One have it's own visions and knows how to turn his ideas from failure to success.

Some qualities he/she must have to be a good leader :-

  • One must be honest .
  • Must be confident as well.
  • Most important must inspire others to do great things.
  • Must be determined and committed towards it's goal.
  • Can be passionate as well which adds to the quality trait .
  • Must be good communicator or would say orator too .
  • Must have decision making capability which is again a most important quality for the person.
  • Accountable to others for his work .
  • Creativity and innovation can also add to the traits.
  • Have feeling of empathy to work around people.

All the above mentioned quality traits of a good leader. And when people have a good leader that means he had set some examples as well . People follow their leader for good as they inspire them to do more good that's why their actions also inspire them .

So as leader , if one can put ethical values into action and set the examples again then definitely followers will want to live by it as well . While doing so and certain motivation one can resist pressures to act unethically just to avoid criticism or achieve short term gains.
