List four factors involved in increasing health care costs. Please make sure to cite your sources.
Ans:- some of the factors are as:
1. We pay more fee and service charges to medical providers rather than being efficient:- our medical system is not integrated which leads to repetitive tests and over-treatment.
2. The new drugs produced, technologies and procedures associated with medical conditions are expensive which increases the health costs :- even though the medical advancements and procedures help in improvement of health conditions but they are expensive moreover doctorsas well as patients prefer the newest treatments even if there is little or no evidence that they are better.
3. Introduction of new hospitals and competition among them:- As more and more hospitals are builded by private sectors their is more competition and hospital administration tries to gain more and more profit by proving health facilities and hence increase the health costs.
4.Rise of new diseases:- as population is suffering more and more chronic conditions such as asthma, heart disease or diabetes, which drive up costs.
