I believe that the role of managers and leaders have changed a lot in recent times because the way of doing business has changed a lot and today, organizations cannot afford to make mistakes be ause that will strip them off their position and push them behind in the competition. Managers and leaders hence have to be flexible while taking any decisions and help the organization for well in critical situations. Situational leadership is the approach in which the leader will act based on what is required of him and this will be appropriate in order to understand the actions that they require to take.

An organization may experience a critical time or phase in their operations and the leader needs to take the required steps and it is only possible, when the leader has an open mind and flexible to such aspects or else they may not be able to use their problem solving skills in order to make this work out. This approach will help the manager mature and develop as an individual and help them become better.
