Explain how privacy rights are different for employees in the public sector, including what laws protect such rights, from Constitutional Protection, to statutory protection.
Some of constitutional protection of privacy:
Protection of personal information- it is illegal to make public information about someone if that information is going to hurt that person one way or another then the information should remain private.
The right to financial privacy
The video privacy protection which forbid video renters from revealing the video recording of their customers
Private sector employees has no privacy rights unless its in the changing room or bathroom or such places but the public sector employees are protected by the Bill of Rights so the government has no room to go into employees personal information as the private employer can do to their employees.
When the security of the Nation is at stake the right of privacy of an individual may be waived or when there is there is a clear written consent from individual then the right of privacy may be waived. for example if employer have a reason to believe that an employee has set a bomb in the company his or her right to check his or her locker for bomb or evidence will be wived.
