Psychology of Personality!!!!!!!!! Explain how biology, culture, and their interaction shape sex differences.
Biologically, sex and gender is defined by the biological genitals present at birth of an individual. Person with male genital are consider to be male and person with female genitals are considered to be female. While person with both the genitals are considered androgynous or in geneage language are called transgender people. Sex is biological in nature and defined as person's biological functioning of bearing a child or siring children. While gender is defined as one's representation of themselves in the society, this is psychological, social, behavioural characteristics relating to male or female of a person. Sex and gender identity can be different in a person. Biologically both sexes differs, such as females have XX chromosomes while males have XY chromosomes. Similarly there is a difference in harmone levels too. Pschological perception of one's own gender and sexuality is also related to biology as psychological actions are dependent on biological functioning of the brain. SimolSimi psychological perseption of gender and sexuality is also dependent on the culture and environment around the person. The culture and environmental stimuli also shapes ones psychology. so basically the interaction between biology and culture shapes one's perseption of gender and sexuality.
