How do culture and institutions shape inequalities? Discuss one concrete example in which culture and/or institutions have shaped historical and modern inequalities.
Culture is a personal and social identity. Cultural inequality can be seemed in most of the part of a society. There are lots of cultures exist within a small society. In this multi religious society, people practices different religious activities. The group of people with majority number of supporters have a tendency to discriminate others cultures. They are not ready to accept others life style. People always like to mobilize along their cultural line. For example starting school level there exist cultural inequality. Some Parents believe that black stdents family culture is not suitable for a successful academy. They also teach their children to stay away from black people. This bad concept is then passing through generations.
Inequality is a product of institutional products. Inequality is also reflect in institutions. Institutions are not ready to change their old inequality concepts through time. For example separate facilities are provided between african americans and non african americans.
