the most preferred method is to give interventions on an individual level. but many companies do not want to spend money on interventions, so there are many training modules that are provided to change attitudes in the workplace :
1. the training program can be on the norms and rules that an individual needs to follow.
2. giving them an insight of their strengths and weaknesses by performing various group activities or administering the psychological tests on the employees, for example administering MBTI( Myers-Briggs type indicator)- which will tell them strengths of their personality or administer an aptitude test so that they know their strengths and weaknesses in their work.
3. improving on communication. communication is a key to performing any task and performing it well. there should be a clear communication line explaining the goals and expectations of the tasks that need to be performed.
4. there should be an availability of many resources that can be utilized by the employees and they should be aware of all the resources that can be used by them in order to get the tasks done. many companies have wellness programs to help maintain a positive attitude in the company, but very few people are aware of the existence of these programs let alone use them.
5. boosting employee morale. this can be done by performing small gestures by the company, example dinner in the office if there have been recurrent extra shifts by the employees. gifting care packages to the employee.
6. having a reward system. this can be monetary or in kind. there needs to be a reward system for a company to appreciate the work done by the employees. otherwise, it will result in a high turnover and absenteeism.
7. helping employees have a balance between their work life and personal life. this can be done by giving them work from home whenever they are facing a difficulty at home.
