IT governance is important in the protection of data, retention, and disaster recovery. Documentation requires not be intimidating just write down what your job involves, and have a self-governing party review it. This aids administrations classify gaps and future safety occurrences.
A business will implement an IT governance program to come up with a framework of best practices and controls. Notwithstanding the risks and susceptibilities of sharing data, some healthcare administrations appear to have occupied a rather uninspiring method to third-party risk administration. Having IT governance helps a company produce measurable results which will allow a company to achieve their strategic goals and ensure they align with the business's needs. Some frameworks that businesses can use are COBIT; ITIL; COSO; CMMI; and FIAR.
A business can choose a IT governance framework that functions for them. COBIT and COSO are mainly used for risk, ITIL is used to streamline services and operations, CMMI is for hardware development, service delivery and purchasing, and FAIR is for assessing operational and cyber security risks.
