What is the difference between homosporous and heterosporous plants?

What is a seedless vascular plant?

How do seedless vascular plants carry food and water their your body?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Ans.1. Homosporous plants are those plants that produces only one type of the spore inside the sporangia.

Heterosporous plants are those plants which produces two types of spores, small spores are microspre and large spore are called as the megaspore. They are produced inside the microsprorangia and megasporangium respectively.

Homosporous and heterosporous plants are present in pteridophytes.

The difference between homosporous and heterosporous plants are as follows:-

Ans. 2. Seedless vascular plants are those plants which has the vascular system xylem and Phloem but do not produce the seed. They reproduce by the spore. They are the pteridophytes. They were the first terrestrial plants. They were the first vascular plants. They are also called as the vascular crypto games.

Ans.3. They have the vascular system for the conduction of the water and food. They have xylem for conduction of water and minerals and Phloem for the conduction of the food material. Thus they carry food and water to their body.
