Digital media is a platform where products are promotoed through attractive content in the internet. Since it is an age of technology and most of the people are tech-savvy, organisations have altered their route of promotion through the digital platform. This gives them an advanatage of reaching to a larger audience.
To effectively use digital media, the organisation should decide the mode of digital media platform they would want to promote their product in. This would be decided on the basis of their target market. For example, if their target market is teenagers from age of 10-20, they would probably look at promoting their products through gaming sites or social media like Facebook where most of the youngsters spend their time.
A company that promotes its products on different social media sites is Myntra.com I have been buying products from this company for more than 5 years now and I got to know about this company through Facebook. It has also featured regularly in Twitter as well. The message that they try to convey is that they carry the latest trend of apparels and users can actually buy good quality, latest trend shirts, trousers, tshirts, shoes etc. They do have an attractive collection and their product quality is also good at reasonable prices.
They send the same message on both the sites. The Twitter's promotion contains formal wear more than the normal casual wear products that they promote on Facebook. I think the reason being Twitter accommodates more people of different ages, whereas Facebook is primarily used by the younger group of people. It does attract senior people.
