From a marketing standpoint, what do we think Boeing can do to rebuild its reputation? Can you identify any missteps that Boeing made in responding to the situation? Would Boeing be wise to air commercials to the general public to address any concerns or do you think that would draw more negative attention?

* Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners, defense, space, and security systems. also, Boeing is America's biggest manufacturing exporter.

* A failure in its 737 Max jets anti-stall system (MCAS) was a factor in last month's crash. This disaster made customers not to trust Boeing again.

* What Boeing can do to rebuild its reputation:

1) Working on MCAS: After the crash happened due to the fault in 737 Max jets anti-stall system, Boeing is working on changes to restore trust and reputation lost after the disaster.

2) Reassuring passengers: Reassuring passengers and regaining passengers' trust over the company is required at the current scenario.

3) Transparency: Transparency in terms of the information that is being shared by Boeing. for example:

- Detailed video showing that Boeing has made to the MAX'S flight control software

- Interactive Q&A sessions with Boeing engineers and chief pilots according to their respective work.

- Opinions made by third party trustworthy experts.

* Identifying missteps made by Boeing:

1) Fault in MCA - The first and the major mistake was installing MCAS that wasn't proper for the Boeing 737 airplane.

2) Old designed flight: The Boeing 737 is a platform that was originally designed in the '60s. Boeing is carrying that model due to some cost and certification reasons.

3) Safety compromise: As the design was made in the '60s and didn't modify it due to certification reasons, there are many faults in the craft like the above example of fault in MCAS.

4) Didn't come clean: As per the US law Boeing should have come clean and respond to its customers through media but Boeing is just hiding behind a curtain. it should come clean to gain the trust of its customers.

* Answering to your third and last question;

- In my opinion, Boeing should do commercialization. and raise its concerns to the general public. If Boeing performs this gesture, it would be a wise move for a company that is struggling to gain its reputation.

- Also, this gesture would not gain any negative attention because the consumer always wants transparency and genuine corporate, which come forward and takes all the responsibility they they pledged before providing services.

CONCLUSION

A company like Boeing would surely gain its reputation over time. as they have authentic leaders and a set of good working staff. of course, it will take some time to gain the trust of passengers.

Disasters happen but we have to look forward to, how to overcome the situation and carry out our duties and responsibilities until the end of our life.

Thank you

As we talked about the Software Development Lifecycle. We approached it from the standpoint of where security needs to be added to the SDLC. When code is insecure, it introduces vulnerabilities that get exploited. As security practitioners, this is where we come into the equation.
