Emotional ability is the change that takes place in the ability
of a children over time, in order to react and interact with
various kinds of emotions and situations in the social environment.
The 4 main abilities related to emotional intelligence is as
follows:
- Temperament: It is the way a young child would react or respond
to different kinds of circumstances, caregivers as well as
strangers. This ability makes a child to grasp the basic essence of
emotions. This ability is very important because it helps in
overall emotional and social development of the child in longer
run.
- Attachment: It is the ability to feel the emotional bond
between the kid and the person who gives necessary care to him or
her. Through development of this ability, a child will understand
and react on emotions which are related with his closed ones like
relatives, parents and any other person who is closed to him or
her.
- Social skills and competence: This is one of the most important
emotional ability that is developed within an individual overtime.
This ability allows a child to get along with other person easily
in an effective manner. This ability more or less decides whether a
child will become a introvert or an extrovert.
- Emotional Regulation: It is the ability of a child to regulate
and control his or her emotion and reactions towards the external
environment in which he lives. It is the ability that makes a child
happy, brave, or calm and angry.
